About the event

Green Thumb Thursday's at Bond Mill Elementary School located in the Corridor at the end of the long hallway between 1st and 2nd grade classrooms, Every Thursday for 6 weeks, from April 23rd to May 28th from 1:50 p.m. to 3:50 p.m. (2 hours). Grades K-5.

Participants will earn their "Environmental Stewardship" Certificate upon completion, receive a live plant to take home, seeds and shovel, as well as their art projects.

We believe the most important objective in creating a garden is to support local wildlife, especially pollinators, and providing natural sources of food, water, cover and places for wildlife to raise their young. Also, to maintain the garden or property in a sustainable way that incorporates native plants, conserves water and does not rely on pesticides.  Gardening this way, is the perfect grassroots way to think globally and act locally to help support wildlife and preserve ecosystems.
